The Australian Real World Evidence Network for Cancer (Pan Cancer) is a multi-million-dollar initiative aimed at transforming cancer care by harmonising the collection and reporting of patient-reported measures (PRMs) across the cancer sector. This work is part of the Australian Cancer Plan and is a partnership between Cancer Australia and Movember. As part of the Pan Cancer initiative, a core set of patient-reported measures (PROMs and PREMs) will be identified for use across the Australian cancer sector through a sector-wide consensus process, as well as the creation of national benchmarking platform and a national advocacy campaign for PRMs.
The proposed workshop PAN CANCER: Building sector-wide PRM integration is aligned with the six advocacy priority areas identified by the COSA PRO Working Group in 2023 and will build upon this work, with a focus on PRM implementation.
This workshop is focused on gathering input from a multidisciplinary group of healthcare providers to guide the Pan Cancer initiative.
Key topics include:
- PROM domains important for all cancers – considerations & prioritisation
- Equity and inclusivity
- Benchmarking & visualisation of PRMs to drive change
- Connecting PRMs to information that supports people with cancer
