Pauline has worked in the area of cancer nursing for over 32 years. She has worked in clinical haematology at St Vincent’s in Sydney, administered chemotherapy at the Queensland Radium Institute and Mater Centres in the late 1980s /early 1990s, and has been an enthusiastic advocate for radiation oncology nursing for the past 27 years. Pauline completed a PhD at QUT in 2010, evaluating a change in radiation oncology nursing practice, and is currently Chair of the Radiation Oncology Special Interest Group (RONSIG), Cancer Nursing Society of Australia (CNSA). Pauline’s current research focus is on determining levels of perceived individualised patient care as an outcome of person-centred nursing in three major radiotherapy centres in Brisbane.
