Dr. Upma Chitkara MBBS, MPH, MPhil candidate
Upma is an overseas trained medical physician from diverse background, she brings 8 years of international clinical -practice experience (including in Australian healthcare system) to compliment her interest in multicultural health research, engagement of multicultural communities with western healthcare systems and mental health. She has published literature which establishing factors affecting healthcare engagement of diverse populations with Australian healthcare system. She is currently pursuing her MPhil /PHD at Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, Sydney in Healthcare Engagement and Equity Research team working on a project aiming to identify gaps in quality Advance Care Planning among people with cancer from culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Australia.
